Ezoic alternatives: where publishers actually go after leaving Ezoic
Ezoic carries the smallest sites of any network we track, so most of its publishers cannot simply move to Mediavine. These are the networks sites leaving Ezoic actually joined, the ones that accept sites of a similar size, and the ones that lead each of Ezoic’s biggest niches.

The best Ezoic alternatives depend on one thing most lists skip: how big your site is. Ezoic accepts smaller sites than any other network we track, so the right alternative is usually not the biggest name but the network that takes sites like yours. We read every tracked network’s public publisher list (its sellers.json) every day, which lets us see who each one carries and where sites go when they leave.
What are the best Ezoic alternatives for small sites?
For a small site, the best Ezoic alternatives are the networks that already carry sites of a similar size. No network publishes a requirement we would trust as a measurement, so we use the outcome instead: the authority score (0–100) of the publishers each network actually accepted. The lower a network’s median, the smaller the sites it takes.
| Network | Sites | Smallest 10% | Median |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ezoic | 7,683 | 1 | 7 |
| Monumetric | 668 | 1 | 14 |
| NitroPay | 759 | 0 | 15 |
| Newor Media | 173 | 1 | 17 |
| Venatus | 627 | 1 | 17 |
| SHE Media | 1,591 | 4 | 17 |
| PubGalaxy | 2,599 | 1 | 18 |
Two things stand out. Ezoic is in a band of its own at the bottom: even the next-lowest networks carry noticeably larger publishers. And several of the networks near it are specialists — some lean heavily on gaming, others on women’s lifestyle — so the size bar is only half of the decision. The niche table further down is the other half. For the full ranking of all 21, see which ad networks are hardest to get into.
Where do sites go after leaving Ezoic?
Most sites that leave Ezoic do not join another tracked network at all. We count a switch when a site disappears from one network’s sellers.json and appears on another’s within 45 days.
| Moved to | Sites |
|---|---|
| Mediavine | 8 |
| Infolinks | 2 |
| NitroPay | 2 |
| AdPushup | 1 |
| Gourmet Ads | 1 |
| Monumetric | 1 |
| Newor Media | 1 |
| Publift | 1 |
| Raptive | 1 |
That is 18 moves we could see from both ends, against 7 going the other way, into Ezoic. The numbers are small because switching is rare: hundreds of sites drop off Ezoic’s list every month, and almost all of them stop running managed ads, move to a network we do not track, or close. Mediavine is the clear first choice among those that do move. The Mediavine route in detail is in Ezoic vs Mediavine.
Is Ezoic losing publishers?
Yes, on balance. Ezoic started September 2026 with 8,413 listed sites, added 126, lost 625, and ended the month with 7,914. Ezoic has the highest turnover of any network we track, because it takes so many new and small sites and many of them do not last. Every network’s figures for the month are in the September 2026 ad network market share report.

Is Mediavine a good Ezoic alternative?
Mediavine is a good Ezoic alternative for an established site, and the most common destination for sites that do switch. It is not a realistic one for most Ezoic publishers: Ezoic's median site scores 7 on authority; Mediavine's scores 29, and even its smallest tenth of publishers scores 10. How to choose an Ezoic alternative
Start with size: pick from the networks whose publishers look like your site, not the ones whose publishers are ten times bigger. Then pick on niche, using the table above. Only then compare what no dataset shows — ad density, page speed, payment terms and support — against each network’s current terms. Most networks let you run only one main display partner, so plan the switch rather than stacking them; see can you run two ad networks at once?

Site counts are live relationships in each network’s sellers.json, checked against the site’s own ads.txt where possible. Authority is our 0–100 score of a site’s size and reach. No network publishes rates, and nothing here is a claim about earnings.
