The site uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage — which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and on what kind of device. It sets Google's analytics cookies and processes data under Google's privacy policy; we use it only as aggregate statistics and never to identify anyone. We also run Plausible, a privacy-focused analytics tool, on our own server: it sets no cookies and stores only aggregate counts, and its data never leaves our infrastructure. Plausible also records a small number of named actions — that the row limit was shown, that a locked control was clicked, which filter was used, that a sign-in was started or completed. These are counts of events, not records about a person. Searches are the one exception: we do record the words you type into the search box, together with how many results they returned. We do this because a search that finds nothing tells us which sites and networks are missing from the database, and that is how the database gets better. Those terms are stored on our own Plausible server, are not linked to your account or to any identifier that persists between visits, and are never sold or shared. If you would rather a search were not recorded, browse the network, niche and site pages directly — they need no search and no account. There is no advertising and no ad tracker on any page. Like every website, our infrastructure providers also keep standard server logs — IP address, user agent, requested URL — used only to operate and protect the service: Cloudflare serves the pages from its edge, Netlify runs the origin, and Supabase hosts the database. Each processes that traffic under its own published privacy terms.
Sign-in is optional and currently Google-only. Creating an account stores what Google's sign-in provides — your email address and basic profile — with Supabase, our authentication provider, and sets the session cookies needed to keep you signed in. Beyond those and the analytics cookies above, this site sets nothing; we never see or store a password, and we do not email you except in reply. To delete your account and its data, write to [email protected] from the account's address.
The site's subject matter — which networks monetise which websites — is built entirely from public, machine-readable records that networks and sites publish about themselves: sellers.json files, ads.txt files, and homepages, plus link-graph data from public crawls. It concerns businesses and their published relationships, not individuals. Site owners can have a domain excluded on request via the report page.
